Anyone Know This Pic?

A friend in California gave me a copy of this wonderful picture, which I scanned here, and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the photographer or model, or if there are any other shots that go with this one? It looks like it could be an old Irving Klaw picture, although I’m not sure if it’s exactly his style. In any case it’s a lovely shot and a great outfit and tie. If you’re familiar with it, please feel free to leave a comment below or to email me directly. Thanks so much!

Update – Thanks for the comments and to everyone who emailed me directly. Yes, it does look like the lady in question is Pia Sands from an old Harmony magazine. Here’s another pic below that a reader just sent me. The wild hair at first threw me, but I’m guessing that it’s probably just bunched up behind her back, since everything else – the outfit, hose, heels, gloves, tie, even the blotchy carpet – all seem to match up. So if anyone has any more scans from this set, feel free to email them to me – I won’t mind! ;-)

Update 2-28-11 – Another reader kindly sent in a few more nice color pics from the Pia Sands gallery, so here are a couple more below. Check out those seamed stockings!

Update 3-15-11 – Another kind reader sent in another Pia Sands shot from a different set of pictures. It makes you wonder if these shots were all done at the same photoshoot. She’s wearing the same heels and it’s probably the same room with that same carpet. Hmm, interesting…

  1. Sigh. There was a time before the internet. That’s Pia Sands/Snow aka Michelle Bauer as photographed by Sean Harper, a mainstay of Harmony back in the day.

His work was some of the most scanned and posted in the earliest days of cyber-bondage-porn. Mr. T. (the late Cory Thompson, Jim Weather’s old partner) scanned the hell out of this stuff right before copywrite law forced everyone with a length of rope and a dream set up their own sites rather than just post stuff from worn and stained magazines.

Seriously. She’s part of kink history. Sure, you all know Bettie, Willie and Klaw, But not Pia? She was a legend who even gave mainstream film acting a shot and appeared in a few rather poor B-movies.

That very set, the outfit, those shoes, the way her mouth cups the gag, was one of the first earth-shattering, never-to-be-forgotten bondage images I ever owned. Reminded me of Emma Peel. Oh, wait — do I need to explain her as well?

Jez. I’m so old. So very old.

  2. Yeah, Pia Sands…

Pia Sands > Pia Snow > Kim Bittner … I think I still have a magazine with stills of “Kidnapped Girls Agency,” a whole mag taken from that ’80s video; and another one with some stills from “Special Request”. Crap I think I still even have Centurions “Complete Catalog of Trainers and Gags.”

Jeez, I’m old, too. Shit. lol

  3. I have the video from “Kidnapped Girls Agency”! That pair of shoes shows up in multiple photo sets…I love them!

  4. Tangenter talked about Pia (Michelle Bauer). I met and spoke with her several times at fan conventions MANY years ago (I’ve been doing bondage shoots professionally since 1981). Michelle was part of the original Scream Queens, along with Brinke Stevens (the model for Bettie in Dave Stevens’ Rocketeer) and Linnea Quiqley. Their signature film was Nightmare Sisters. Michelle also did movie poster and ad work where her body would be used and the star’s head superimposed on it. A time before the internet? I bought Klaw books when they were being sold as NEW. And I didn’t like your dig at Sandra about having to explain Emma Peel. You meant Diana Rigg, right?
