I couldn’t believe it when I heard on NPR that the median price for a home sold in Detroit is $7,500 dollars. At first I was thinking, “Wow, seventy-five thousand, that’s really low.” Nope, seven thousand, five hundred dollars! A local professor is quoted as saying, “A thousand people are leaving the city every month.” Wow, unbelievable.
