Email Backlog

I’ve been so behind on email once again, about as bad as it’s ever been, so if you’ve been waiting to hear from me that’s all it is. I know some messages will probably fall through the cracks, which I hate, but it reaches a level of overload where I find my brain just shutting down and saying, “I’ll deal with it later.” Actually one of the best places for me to stay in touch with people is on Twitter. If only all email were limited to 140 characters! Then I’d be caught up!

And you know, email really does seem like an archaic means of communication nowadays. It’s great for the details of setting up a shoot or dealing with specific actions and events but just for chatting and keeping in touch – it really does feel like something from the 90s. Some days I just can’t do it and I click on close and go back to editing pictures or, more likely, replying to email on Facebook, which has to be the lowest rung on the email foodchain, with lots of “How’s it going?” and “I’d like to get to know you better” from someone with a blank profile usually…So guess I still haven’t figured out how to deal with the constant inbox overload…Anyway, thanks for listening to my venting and it won’t get any better while I’m over at BoundCon; I’m sure of that! ;-)

  1. So if email is archaic now, is Twitter the modern “chatting & keep in touch” method? Or do you have another preferred method?

  2. Hello,

Love your work Sandra. Might I request something? Would there be a way to do a model shoot with someone like Silvia Snow bound and gagged while wearing jeans and heels or boots?

    Thanks for the consideration!

  3. @Jonah…Thanks so much, so glad you like the site! And thanks for the suggestion. I can’t promise anything since most CDs balk at wearing pants ;-) But you never know. If someone has an outfit like that that works I’d certainly be open to it…Thanks for posting :-)

  4. @That Darn Katt…Yes, I don’t know if there’s a perfect solution to the problem of email but I know I’m not the only one who feels that nagging sense of overwhelm that seems to be a built-in feature ;-) The great thing about Twitter is that if two people follow one another then they can send direct messages of only 140 characters that no one else can read, so it’s a good chat service in addition to being highly superficial but sometimes amusing…

  5. I’ll second the request for skintight jeans or spandex pants. You have the legs and bottom for them Sandra.
