In Atlanta

So I’ve been in Atlanta over the weekend to see my parents, who are both old and in shaky health. It’s been a pretty good visit but I’m ready to head back tomorrow to Southern California. The most challenging thing about visiting is trying to help my mother with her computer and realizing that she’s never going to figure it out. It’s a generational thing and she tries her best (bless her) but, yeah, it’s never going to happen and always feels like a slightly depressing and futile exercise trying to show her how to use Skype and organize the files and folders on her hard drive and so on. After a couple hours I just want to go for a long walk to clear my head. But I know I’ll miss them when they’re gone so I’m sure it’s good to be here.

Off to the Marta train to the airport tomorrow, though, and back to LAX. I’ll be glad when August passes and we finally start to get into the fall and winter, the best months for crossdressers…

Valentina Tagline from Guido Crepax

So the other week I asked on the Trannies Yahoo Group if anyone knew where I’d taken the most recent tagline from on the Trannies In Trouble site (the little phrase in quotations under the main title). At that time it was, “”I shouldn’t have come…I didn’t want to…I wasn’t going to.” Well, I’m sure the suspense has been kiling everyone, so the answer is that it came from the Guido Crepax cartoon, “Valentina in Reflection” from Heavy Metal magazine, December 1980. Yeah, rather obscure but somehow that line got stuck in my head over three decades ago and has never left. (The line “But originally I said no” was another one that seemed weighted with significance and got stuck in my long-term memory.)

I remember getting that magazine in the mail on a late afternoon in Colorado. I recall that before walking back into the house I caught a quick glimpse of the picture below, got immediately turned on and then walked inside to find a friend of my mother’s there in the kitchen visiting. Strangely enough, this was the same woman who on an earlier visit had told me I should have been born a girl, which really threw me into a state of embarrassment and sexual excitement. (For some reason she was alone in the kitchen on that earlier visit and when I walked in she glanced at me – I was very slender and had long hair – and she uttered that startling sentence.) So anyway, here I was again with this same woman (don’t recall if my mother was there too), once again sexually agitated and after a few awkward moments I excused myself and went down to my room to immediately check out the rest of this cartoon (that one page was the best one unfortunately). I don’t recall if I rubbed one out while my mother’s friend was still visiting or whether it was later that evening but I’m sure it happened at some point. Weird the things you remember and the details you don’t.

In any case Guido Crepax is pretty fantastic though I’d always wished he’d done more blatantly bondage oriented stuff. Still his drawings were always very strange and sexy and he was obviously hugely talented. Good stuff.

FetishCon 2012

It was a busy weekend at FetishCon this year. I arrived a day early and ended up doing a lot more shooting than I was planning to, which was good but kept me even more busy than normal. On the downside, though, I didn’t get nearly as much time on the show floor as I had planned, and didn’t get many good casual out-and-about pictures. But here are a few sample shots, shooting with the amazing Jean Bardot, a young model named Jennifer West who was a real trooper (shot by Jeff Jamm), Sybil looking cute as a helpless maid, Brittany Morgen with her elbows touching, a pantyhose encasement by Master Allen, the fabulous Serene Isley being tied up by Sandra in creepy fan mode, and a serious gagging session with Natalia Chaplin turning out to be a femme fatale and ignoring my limits (video framegrab).

For the times that I was able to get away from shooting, it was a lot of fun seeing people whom I only see once a year, such as Andre the Toonman – we had a really nice time hanging out and visiting. So all in all, although it flew by, it was good getting to shoot with so many friends and terrific models, and I look forward to posting some new pics in the weeks and months ahead…

FetishCon in Tampa

Well, FetishCon is coming up fast (August 2nd till the 5th). I’m going to be packing and planning things this coming week and getting the website updates ready for being away. It’ll be almost an entire week, flying out Tuesday and coming back Monday. There should be some interesting shoots and fun parties while there, and it’s always great to see people I only get to see once a year. And I’m hoping to get a couple unusual shoots in while there with a darker theme than normal (love the dark stuff!) As an aside, I was looking at some cute genetic girls’ model profiles and it’s always funny when they refer to themselves as nerds. Being super pretty AND a nerd – yeah, you can say so, but believe me, you’re not a nerd (even if you do like comic books).

Anyway, I’ll probably be a little nervous when I first get there but once it starts it’s go go go for several days. Should be fun and memorable.

Saturday at the Oxwood

My friend Kim and I went out to the Oxwood Inn last night for their weekly Club Shine tranny night. I’ve said this numerous times here on the blog but nights out at bars are weird. We had a pretty good time, but for me it was better earlier in the evening. As the night goes on there’s more alcohol in people and things get louder and more unpleasant. A guy I’ve known for years also got annoyed at me as I declined his offer to buy me a drink and then later confronted me as I went back a few minutes later to get my own drink (just OJ, as I was the designated driver). Maybe I should have waited a little longer but I didn’t realize I was being watched. To be honest, I’m not thrilled when guys offer to buy me drinks, and I almost always say no, unless they’re friends whom I know don’t have any ulterior motives. With this guy, he’s fine, but yeah, there’s always that sense when he’s talking to me that he wants more, and I’m not interested; it’s just a little bit uncomfortable.

Later, when we finally left at 12:30 the bar area was packed and you could only get out by taking a few steps here, a few there, till you finally got to the door. One guy was intent on getting through and literally pushed people ahead of him as he muscled his way across the room. By that point I’d had way more than enough. Although Saturday night is the happen’ night at “the Ox,” I much prefer the Thursday karaoke night, which is more laid back, with far less aggression and sexual tension in the air, and hey, singing! So although this post sounds like the evening was a total bummer, really it was okay and good hanging out with my friend and getting to talk earlier in the evening. Still, it’ll probably be six months before I go back on a Saturday ;-)

Here I am smiling but not totally comfortable…

More Jewell Marceau!

Well, I was really stretching on that last blog post, so let’s post a picture! This is from the second scene that Jewell Marceau and I shot a couple months ago and it was incredible being tied up, gagged, and bossed around by her. Later she turns me towards that mirror to practice my dildo cock-sucking, since our relationship will be taking a turn now that she finds herself stuck with a husband who’s a secret submissive crossdresser (if only!) The full set of pictures should be going up this Friday and there’ll be another long video going up a few days later.

Blogging’s Hard

It’s been over two weeks since I’ve posted anything new here on the blog and I’ve been finding it harder and harder to come up with new things to say. Sometimes I think I should just move everything over to Twitter, which feels so much more temporary and disposable and where it’s way easier to post pictures. If you say something ridiculous on Twitter it just disappears down the page within a couple hours, probably never to be read again (and hey, I’m not even that active there, maybe tweeting once or twice a day when I’m into it). But the blog here feels like much more of a commitment and actually requires some knowledge of HTML and behind-the-scenes editing to make things look right. I look over at the Archive list here on the right side with a certain pride, seeing that this thing has been going on for six and a half years (even if the last few years have been at a slower pace). I especially like the shape of the various months’ text, with that indentation on the summer months and the outer swell in the winter (definitely prefer the winter!) and wonder if I can rack up a few more of those sequences before completely running out of things to say and bolting for the safety of the Twitter microblog or whatever else comes next…

Sandra by Andre the Toon Man

My friend Andre the Toon Man just sent me a cute portrait that he recently finished; love the blonde hair and that green blouse, AND that small waist and those narrow shoulders – wish we could “export” those features ;-) Andre’s a great guy and has been drawing toon damsels in distress for a long time. We usually only see each other once a year at FetishCon (coming up soon in August!) Thanks so much, Andre, and we’ll see you in Tampa!

Summer Approaches

Wow, not much blogging lately. I’ve just been really busy as usual with that ol’ familiar feeling of but-what-am-I-getting-done? There are some more photoshoots coming up, and last week I was able to get away with friends to the Oxwood Inn again for karaoke – it had been a while. My friends did great but when I got up to do The Beatles’ “I Am the Walrus,” (me staring at the monitor below) I immediately realized the key was just a little higher than I would have liked, so I really had to push to get through it, not much fun, and strangely I’ve had a much easier time with that song in the past. Still, it’s always fun to hang out, and some of the singers there are really good.

We also had a nice turnout at the last Club Fantasy party, where there was a lot of play going on and another birthday celebration. There will probably be some good changes coming up, with a likely name change and some theme parties at the end of the summer, so I’m looking forward to that…All in all, things are still very good here in L.A. and I’ve been having way more fun that I usually did in Denver, though of course I still miss my friends and some of the good times and places back there. I’m planning a quick visit in August though so it’ll be good to see the ol’ place. Here’s to a good summer for everyone and lots of new bondage adventures!

DomCon 2012

I had a great time last weekend at DomCon LA, held at the LAX Hilton. It’s a convention geared towards the pro domme scene, which I find intriguing, although I have to admit I’ve never visited a pro dominatrix. I suppose if I had crazy disposable income I probably would but, well, it’s probably not happening anytime soon. It is a fun event, though, and the kind of thing where you see people whom you might otherwise only see once or twice a year. On Friday night, I got to hang out with both Nina and Delilah and we had a fun time checking out the show floor. Dave from DK3 studios in San Diego took our picture and then later we literally hung out in the “birdcage” over at the Elegant Dungeons booth. Sonny helped us climb into the crazy thing, which was surprisingly relaxing and then he hoisted it up for a nice ride. With some padlocks on the cage you could easily be left there hanging for the night, though probably a ballgag and some handcuffs would be called for too. Later, for Delilah’s turn, Natashka from Las Vegas stopped by for a candid pose – don’t mess with Natashka! Later that night we got to shoot with Nina, who was looking super cute in a pink dress, pink heels, and blonde hair and who got nicely bound and gagged by Delilah, with me posing and looking serious nearby.

Another high point of the weekend was getting to shoot with Dixie Comet. I’ve been trying to get more special guest females on the site and I’m really excited about posting the upcoming scenes we shot with Dixie. She’s a terrific lady who has a lot of experience shooting bondage and has a real knack at improvising scenes for the video camera. She’s super-easy to work with, really cute, and a lot of fun. We shot two scenes with her, first with me convincing her to fake her kidnapping as a way of paying our gambling debts (bad idea, Dixie!) And then later she played a truly scary pro domme who’s nice and understanding and all business until she gets her naive client (me) tied up. Oops, a newbie’s worst nightmare.

As always, there were parties every night of the event and I was able to go to the Saturday one with Delilah. It was pretty good but nothing earth-shattering, which is often the case with these things. Quite often it’s the ol’ S&M party, for “Stand and Model.” There was some spectacular eye candy, though sadly they don’t usually allow cameras in dungeons. Sunday afternoon Delilah was able to get away again and we shot a couple solo scenes and hung out some more, a very productive and fun weekend. The next big event will be in August for FetishCon in Tampa. Better start shopping for some new outfits soon!

Disneyland

I went to Disneyland yesterday with friends and since I didn’t want any extra attention, I just went in boy mode. It’s been decades since my last visit, and to be honest I didn’t really expect much from it but ended up having a great time. The thing that really stands out (no surprise!) are the totally fabulous costumes of the women they hire to portray Alice and Mary Poppins and all the princesses milling about. I couldn’t stop staring, with that mixture of yearning and envy that is the lot of us crossdressers ;-) The tour guide outfits, in an English equestrian theme, are pretty fabulous too (I prefer the blue vest over the white blouse as opposed to the jacket!) Anyway, here are a few pictures that I found online, including one of Ryan Astamendi’s pictures of Disney princesses in real life. Another photographer, Dina Goldstein, has done some pictures of fallen princesses that are pretty hilarious. A fun day at the happiest place on earth!

Birthday Spankings at Club Fantasy

We had a nice Club Fantasy party last night in North Hollywood and it was my birthday so a couple friends brought a terrific chocolate cake (thanks Jessica and Steve!) Of course I had some birthday spankings so my butt is still a little sore today but all in all a very fun time. Delilah was there in her Domina Delilah mode and she brought a few crops along to dole out the punishment. Fun times, and the next one will be on Friday, June 1st. The next big event here in SoCal will be DomConLA coming up in a couple weeks. I’ll be shooting a few sets of pictures, I’m sure, and it should be a fun time!

Diva Las Vegas, Baby!

I had a fun and somewhat reflective time at Diva Las Vegas. Sin City was having an early heat wave with temperatures in the high 90s, but the only real unpleasantness was waiting for the valet guy to get my car and trying not to sweat through my panties. It’s a good event geared towards crossdressers who want to spend time dressed out and about – restaurants, bars, shopping, even a morning golfing and hiking excursion (yeah, I passed on those two!)

I stayed at the Imperial Palace, after first driving out from L.A. while dressed. There was a huge line to check into the hotel so I had the pleasure of standing for 45 minutes in my heels while we slowly moved forward. I got some looks but everything went fine. Finally I got my key and headed off on the long walk to the elevators. Foolishly I didn’t even notice I was being followed till I was on my floor and realized, hey, this young dude with his iPhone was still with me. I hurried along and gave him the slip for a moment but sure enough, after getting in my door and looking out the peephole, there he was looking around and trying to figure out which door I’d gone in. I didn’t feel in any real danger; he was just a young horny guy following a tranny. But like an idiot I actually answered when he called out and asked, “Uh, do you wanna chill?” I said, “No, thanks,” through the still-closed door and immediately grimaced, realizing: Wow, now I just told him which room I’m in! He wandered off but it made for a nerve-wracking moment and will definitely inspire a future story on the site. Hey, if he’d been into bondage and I’d somehow known maybe I would have invited him in after all…

Later at the actual event, I didn’t know many people but I didn’t want it to be a bummer, so I made the effort to just go up and talk to a bunch of people, and I met some really nice girls. One of the highlights was going to Drink and Drag, a gay bar that has drag queens, a dance floor, pool tables, and…wait for it…bowling alleys with disco lights! It’s a really cool place, on Fremont Street, and apparently just opened days ago. I hope it’ll last as it’s very odd indeed and has some stunning drag queens.

There were a lot of other activities and some, well, excruciatingly long dinners with slow service, but all in all it was a fun time and worth a visit if you like to go out dressed in public. The one realization I had, though, is that I much prefer going to “alternative” places rather than mainstream outings. Drink and Drag was great, but some of the restaurants and other venues, and walking through the casinos, with lots of “regular” people and even some families (and that Midwestern feel that you get in Vegas) – well, a lot of it felt kind of weird and a little uncomfortable, to be honest.

I have friends who absolutely love to dress and just go out anywhere, and I kind of envy them for finding it so easy to do so. But I really don’t think that’s me. I can do it, but I much prefer going to gay bars, BDSM clubs and kink events and that’s about it. It just really hit me that this mainstream stuff just ain’t that much fun. Of course it’s my hang up, and if I kept going out again and again it would get more comfortable, but as my friend Kim says, “why push the river?” On the other hand I do think it’s great for people in the gender community to go out and be seen, but I may not be the one to carry the banner. Of course if I had a strong transsexual dynamic, where I really felt like a woman inside, it would probably feel a lot more natural and fitting to just go out anywhere and be myself. But I’m basically a crossdresser who has some persistent transgender feelings but is still a guy inside. It was interesting to have this insight and also a little discouraging but there you go.

I was originally planning to stay a little longer but had to get back; I did get a good taste of the event over two days, though, and it’s still going on through this Friday. I’ll miss the big limo tour, which many were raving about and looking forward to, but to be honest being trapped in a limo with lots of booze and loud partying going on is really my idea of hell ;-)

Heading back, I always love the L.A. to Vegas drive through the Mojave desert, as it gives one plenty of time to think. I am really glad I finally made it to DLV, and I don’t want to sound like I didn’t enjoy it; it was just kind of mixed, some fun times and some less so. It is a good event, though, with nice people and I’d certainly consider going back again, especially if other good friends were attending.

Of course, here’s the obligatory ain’t-we-having-a-great-time picture. Party on!

DLV

I’ve never been to the CD get-together Diva Las Vegas before but this year I’m finally doing it. I’m planning to get dressed tomorrow morning in a more casual manner than normal and hit the road as early as I can to make good time across the desert and get to Las Vegas sometime in the afternoon. I’ll probably only stay a couple days but it’ll be nice to take a little break and hang out in sin city. Unfortunately a couple of the Denver friends whom I thought might be there can’t make it after all and – a big shock – one of the girls from the Gender Identity Center in Denver, Mardi, passed away a few weeks ago. I was really hoping to see her again, as she was a regular at DLV, and was the kind of person who was always upbeat and accepting of others; I never heard her say anything bad about anyone. I’m just thankful now that I was able to say goodbye to her before moving away from Denver. Dang, you never know when you’re really saying goodbye…

Not to end on a downer note, but it should be a fun time in Vegas and then it’ll be back to L.A. in a few days and back to work. No rest for the wicked. Oh, wait, I’ll be in Vegas, guess there is some rest…

Quick Update

Wow, not much blogging lately, but I wanted to post a quick update so it doesn’t look like I’ve totally disappeared. I’ve still been really busy (never enough hours in the day) and am looking forward to shooting some more later this week and next. Last Friday’s Club Fantasy party was another good one, perhaps a little smaller because of the holiday weekend, but it had a nice energy and I was able to do a quick “speed bondage” on Delilah, getting her tied up in just a few minutes. Sometimes the ropes just fall into place and you go, “Hey, that’s working,” and other times it’s all fumbling and nothing seems to work right. So it’s always a fun time when it all comes together effortlessly. There were a lot of regulars at the party and we did another fun raffle for a couple makeovers at Transformations by Gina (special thanks to our generous friend who’s made it all happen!)

The last few days I’ve just been at the computer a lot but I’m hoping to get away to the Oxwood Inn again on Thursday for karaoke night. So I apologize for the long break here, but things are still good in L.A. and I’m hoping I’ll have another update later next week with maybe a couple new sample pictures to share…

Still Busy

Things have continued to be busy here but it’s all good (as the young people used to say). Over the weekend I was at Threshold’s FemDom party, which was a lot of fun and had a real nice energy. I usually don’t do a lot of playing in public but I “let” a good friend do some flogging and paddling on me and found it quite relaxing. I’m really not into heavy pain – obviously, bondage and the damsel in distress fantasy are my major interests – but when it’s done by someone who knows what they’re doing, being spanked and beaten a little can actually be quite nice and not nearly as painful as people imagine it to be – at least it doesn’t have to be painful and can really alter one’s mood in a good way. So it was a fun break for the weekend.

Since then I’ve mostly been doing the usual picture and video editing and have been trying to set up some more photoshoots, which can actually take a lot of time. I’m hoping to work with some more interesting models in the months ahead, both CDs and females. And I’ll also be attending DomCon LA in May and plan to do some shooting there during the days. Let me know if you’re going to be there so we can say hi.

So it’s just been the usual busy with that feeling of always wishing I had a few more days to get caught up. I’ve fallen pretty behind on email too and am trying to answer a few every day but the queue’s again getting pretty long. Hopefully I can have a quiet Sunday fairly soon and get more caught up again.

Nine Years of Trannies In Trouble

Here we are at the end of another March, which marks the nine-year anniversary of Trannies In Trouble being online. It amazes me that it’s gone on this long, and I’m really looking forward to the ten-year mark which will arrive in no time. I’ll have to do a giveaway or something special next year. If anyone has any suggestions, leave me a comment or email me directly and let me know your thoughts. As always, thanks so much to everyone who has supported the site over the years – I truly could not do it without you! Here’s to many more years of getting tied up and into trouble!

With Ms. Jewell Marceau

Yesterday I had the amazing experience of getting to work with the gorgeous Jewell Marceau, a really wonderful lady whom I’d met a couple times before and had the chance to photograph a few years ago for a mutual friend. But being tied up and gagged by her, bossed around, suffocated a little, and generally dominated was definitely an afternoon to remember. I really owe one to CD Cindy who helped arrange the shoot and who’s good friends with Jewell. Jewell and I are sharing these pictures so it might be a while before these sets go up on Ts in Trouble but I’m really looking forward to it. She’s a very busy lady but I’m hoping we’ll have the chance to shoot again sometime. Thanks so much, Jewell!

Busy Busy Busy

Wow, things have really picked up since being back in L.A. I’ve been having one of those weeks where you keep looking at the clock and figuring out how many hours you have left till the next thing on the schedule. Had three shoots over the weekend, another one coming up tonight in downtown L.A. and maybe another one this weekend. So along with all the day-to-day picture editing and updating and running around, things have been crazy! Hopefully tomorrow night I can relax and get away to hang out at the Oxwood Inn with friends and maybe belt out “Mother’s Little Helper” at karaoke (love that song!) I keep saying it, but it is great to be back in SoCal. I never had weeks like this in Denver!

Photos By Mr. K.

On this week’s update on Ts in Trouble I posted a few pictures posing with a favorite bondage magazine from many years ago. Later I emailed my good friend Mr. K. on the east coast and verified that he had shot many of the pictures in the magazine, including all of those visible in these two Ts in Trouble pictures. He shot many bondage magazines back in the day and this magazine was one of my favorites that I bought in the late 80s. It’s gotten pretty dog-eared over the years but it’s one of the few magazines that I’ve made a point to hold onto. Nice work, Mr. K!
